PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — A man from Orange County was sentenced to 20 years Monday for the assault and armed kidnapping of an employee at a Port St. Lucie group home -- also his girlfriend at the time. Marques Deon Jones, 41, was charged with kidnapping and two counts of a felon in possession of a firearm. According to a news release, he pistol-whipped and forced his girlfriend to leave her work with him, but a supervisor witnessed the crime and alerted the Port St. Lucie Police Department (PSLPD).
